Understanding PUREmist® Cleaning

How It Works, Safety, and Environmental Impact

Exclusive to Maid Brigade is the PUREcleaning® system. We believe your home should feel truly clean, not just look clean. That’s why we developed the healthiest, most advanced home-cleaning and disinfection system on the market.

The final step in this multi-step process is PUREmist®. After removing visible dust, dirt, and allergens, we apply an electrolyzed water solution using a handheld electrostatic sprayer. This technology allows the disinfectant to wrap around surfaces, providing thorough, even coverage and a verifiably clean, safe environment.

Complete Disinfection in Minutes

Happier Employees. Returning Customers.

PUREmist® disinfects by killing germs, bacteria, and viruses within minutes of application. Our system uses electrostatic technology for a comprehensive application of hypochlorous acid on high-touch surfaces. It’s not just for home—it’s for small businesses and commercial spaces too. We can perform a disinfection service at food-safe concentrations all the way to a more powerful hospital-grade concentration, depending on need. Submit a form to learn more.

About PUREmist®

PUREmist® uses a solution created from just three ingredients: water, salt, and electricity. Through a process called electrolysis, these elements form hypochlorous acid, a disinfecting agent that’s effective against pathogens while remaining gentle for everyday environments. Our solution:

Is EPA-registered as a disinfectant
Contains no added dyes or synthetic fragrances
Leaves minimal residue
Is safe for use around children and pets when applied properly

We focus on high-touch areas like door handles, light switches, drawer pulls, and more. Because it’s applied electrostatically, the mist clings to surfaces for 360-degree coverage, including crevices that traditional spray-and-wipe methods may miss.

PUREmist® FAQs

PUREcleaning® is a comprehensive process that removes visible dirt first, then disinfects. The electrolyzed water in PUREmist® is key to its effectiveness when it comes in contact with bacteria or viruses, breaking them down and rendering them harmless. Electrolyzed water has other benefits, too. It cleans surfaces, cuts grease, and lifts residue. These properties give you a more effective and healthier cleaning than any other conventional or green product on the market.

Many traditional cleaning solutions rely on heavy chemical formulations that can leave behind residues, fragrances, or irritants.

The electrolyzed water in PUREmist® is a simple saline solution that breaks down contaminants, leaving surfaces fresh without heavy chemical buildup. It’s a smarter, more modern approach to disinfection, especially for families, pet owners, retirees, and businesses that prioritize health and indoor air quality.

During the electrolysis process, hypochlorous acid can produce a faint scent similar to chlorine. Rest assured, there is no chlorine, synthetic fragrance, or other toxic chemicals in the cleaner, and the scent fades quickly after application.

Deep cleaning experience: If you're looking for a high quality PROFESSIONAL cleaning company then look no further. Image being at a luxury hotel and your room attendant arrives to clean the room. That is maid brigade. Their employees are Bi-lingual, licensed, bonded and insured. I have used other cleaning people in the past and maid brigade is by far the best experience I have had. From the initial phone call to booking my first service, the outstanding communication and eagerness to answer any questions; had really set them aside from the very beginning. Setting up an appointment was very easy and the woman who answered the phone was extremely patient, thorough and kind. After the call, I was left feeling very at ease and excited for them to clean my home. I received a text message the day prior confirming the arrival window between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. and sure enough the two women promptly arrived as promised. They entered my home in uniform with a mask, worse gloves and had cleaning equipment for each person. They we're extremely organized and we're ready to get to work. The two women wasted no time walking through with me to see my home and answer any questions I had. By the time they came, I didn't have any questions though because they were all answered prior to them arriving on the initial phone call which was as great. The women that came to serve as my home were extremely polite, professional, skilled and had a system in place to tackle the cleaning in a very efficient and effective way. From the moment that they stepped into my home, they were non-stop cleaning. My first service was the deep clean and that is exactly what they did. They went DEEP and left nothing untouched including the tracks to the sliding door. I am particular about the way that I clean and what is to be cleaned. The women did not miss the mark. They exceeded my exceptions. They literally cleaned top to bottom, left to right with the proper tools. They left me feeling at ease and relaxed about their cleaning abilities. I didn't feel like I had to go behind them and check if something was cleaned well or at all because they are professionals and know exactly what needs to be done and the right way. Not only that, the way they operate business, it allows you to trust them in your home. They are legal to work in the US, are employees, not contractors, drive a business vehicle, are in uniform, insured and have all the necessary supplies they need. They vacuumed over sweeping (the best for dust and dirt). The eco-friendly cleaning and sanitizing products that they use left my home smelling amazing and you can definitely see that the home is in a clean state. Thank you so much! Looking forward to my maintenance cleanings. Do not hesitate to schedule a service with Maid Brigade. You won't be disappointed.
